QASSAMALI - Mr. Ebrahim Qassamali, beloved husband of Mrs. Sherbanu Qassamali
of Calgary, passed away at his residence on Thursday, June 26, 1997 at
the age of 81 years. Funeral Services will be held at the Ismaili Jamat
Khana and Centre (4623 - 11 Street N.E.), today, June 28, 1997 at 11:00
a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Rocky View Garden of Peace Cemetery.

QUANTZ - Mr. William Edwin Quantz passed away peacefully on December
18, 1997. William was born in Daysland, Alberta on July 29, 1906. He grew
up in various places in Alberta, B.C. and Ontario, finally settling in
Innisfail, where he married Florence Green in 1938. William and Florence
moved to Calgary in 1943 where he worked as an auto mechanic at various
places, finally at Calgary Motor Products where he worked for twenty-two
years. William was very active in the Nazarene Church since he was married.
Upon moving to Calgary, he faithfully served First Church of the Nazarene
as custodian and usher, and was always on call to fix anything that needed
repairing. William leaves his wife of fifty-nine and a half years, Florence;
sons, Gordon and Dale Quantz, both of Calgary; daughter and son-in-law,
Lora Lee and Kevin Black of Mississauga, Ontario; daughter-in-law Elsie
Quantz of Lethbridge; son-in-law Alfons Sage of Calgary; as well as nine
grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two nieces. William was predeceased
by a daughter Althea Sage, son Glen Quantz, daughter-in-law Melina Quantz,
grandson John Quantz, sister Minnie Paxton and brother Albert Quantz.

21, 1997 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at First

1997 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Glenn Follis officiating. Graveside Service

QUASHNICK - Elsie Quashnick passed away at the Forest Grove Care Centre
on October 21, 1997 at the age of 92 years. Elsie is survived by Oscar
and Rebecca Quashnick, Ester and Harold Reynolds; three grandchildren,
Marvin Quashnick, Marleene Thomson and Karen DeRoo; two great-grandchildren,
Robert and Crystal DeRoo. Also survived by three sisters, Emily, Elizabeth
and Martha; two brothers, Benny and Gus; as well as nieces and nephews
and her many friends. Elsie was predeceased by her loving husband Adolf.
The family wishes to extend their many thanks to the nurses and care givers
at the Forest Grove Care Centre. Funeral Services will be held at FOSTER'S

October 27, 1997 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Sherman of Centre Street Church

QUAST - Mr. Herbert (Herb) Quast, beloved husband of Mrs. Anne Quast
of Calgary, passed away suddenly at the Foothills Hospital on November
30, 1997, after a brief illness, at the age of 61 years. Herb was born
in Schuler, Alberta, until the family moved to Calgary in 1945, where
he has resided since. He started in the construction industry apprenticing
with his father, and was employed by Built-Rite Homes for twenty-two years,
as well as other construction firms, most recently with Shane Homes for
the last six years. Herb was an avid hunter and an extremely loving family
man who toiled tirelessly for his family. He was also known for his handyman
skills, commonly known as the "man with the golden hands" for
his ability to fix anything. His golden hands are now at rest. Besides
his loving wife, Herb is survived by his three sons and two daughters-in-law,
Don and Mari, Glenn, Darcy and Kathy; and a daughter and son-in-law, Karen
and Michael Woofter; and six grandchildren, Jacob, Jessica, Megan, Brody,
Myles and Matthew, all of Calgary. He is also survived by his mother Martha
Quast; a brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Gwen, all of Calgary; two
sisters and a brother-in-law, Linda Krarup of Calgary, and Deana and Stan
Freeman of Surrey, B.C., and numerous other relatives. Herb was predeceased
by his father August. I have no words of wisdom to explain what life should
or should not be, but I do know this: "Every breath is counted and
time is timeless One day I will be gone." Relatives and friends are

Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke's Catholic Church (Northmount Drive
and Northland Drive N.W.), on Thursday, December 4, 1997, at 10:30 a.m.
with the Rev. William Trienekens, Celebrant. Graveside Service to follow

QUENNELL-LARSEN - Boston Allan Quennell, precious son of Ross Quennell
and April Larsen, passed away with his parents at his side, at the Children's
Hospital on July 20, 1997 at the age of 13 1/2 months. Born June 4, 1996,
Boston touched the lives of many, many people and truly was an angel.
Besides his loving parents, Ross and April, Boston will be forever missed
by his grandparents, Howard and Ida Quennell of Gleichen, Terry and Nancy
Larsen of Strathmore; great-grandparents, Gordon and Kathleen Christensen
of Alix; uncles and aunts, Dallas and Heather Larsen of Strathmore, Doug
and Gern Pagenkopf of Gleichen; and cousins, Scott and Kirsten Pagenkopf.
Boston also leaves to mourn, the staff at the Children's Hospital, including
Dr. Prince and the N-Cluster Nurses, and numerous friends and acquaintances
who had the opportunity to share in his life, and experience the many
lessons he came to teach. Funeral Service to be held on Wednesday, July

QUON - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs.
Sam Dor Quon, on Sunday, June 15, 1997 at the age of 104 years. Sam Dor
was born in Hoiping, Kwangtung, China and moved to Canada in 1958. She
is survived by her daughter Kwie Sam Quon; and sons, Sanders Kwan (Don
You), and Danny Quon (Don Son). She will also be greatly missed by her
eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Sam Dor was predeceased
by her husband Yip Chew Quon in 1952 and her son Donald Quon (Don Yee)
in 1967. The family would like to express their thanks to the staff at
Extendicare Hillcrest for all their care and kindness. Your memory will
