LUDWIG - Margaret Lawson Ludwig, age
78, passed away peacefully at the Peter Lougheed on November 21, 1997. Margaret
was born in Scotland in 1919 and moved to Calgary in 1923. She was predeceased
by her husband Fred in 1992. She is survived by daughter Carol; grandson
Kerry (Glenda), granddaughter Christine (Rob), and grandson Clay; also four
great-grandchildren and two nieces. Private Family Service. In lieu of flowers,

LUFT - Ethel of Calgary, passed away in Boulder, Colorado on Wednesday,
December 17, 1997 at the age of 71 years. She is survived by one son and
two daughters, Rick (Sue), Judy Donaldson (John Thomson), Deborah Soby
(John); and five grandchildren, Wendy Alana, Barbara and Cameron Luft,

LUKAS - On Monday, November 10, 1997 Mr. Lou Lukas of Vegreville, Alberta,
passed away at home at the age of 72 years. Born August 27, 1925. Lou
is survived by his loving family, two daughters, Bonnie (Allan) of Marwayne,
Roberta (Art) of Calgary; his father Louie Lukas of Lethbridge; three
stepsons and two stepdaughters, Jerry (Karen) of Edson, David (Shirley)
of Airdrie, Bob (Joy), Suzanne (Norman) and Debbie (Rainer), all of Provost;
thirteen grandchildren, Matthew, Jeremy, Kayla, Lori, Christopher, Mandy,
Jennifer, Scott, Jesse, Kevin, Daniel, Derek and Kyle; three sisters,
Helen, Irene, Violet (George). Predeceased by his wife Joyce, July 9,
1997, his mother Mary. Prayer Service will be held on Thursday, November

LUKEY - Mr. Peter Lukey of Calgary passed away on Thursday, October 16,
1997 at the Rockyview Hospital at the age of 83 years. Peter is survived
by his loving family, his daughter Veronica Corney and husband Ed, and
cherished grandchildren, Trent and Tricia; and loving family friend Rose-Marie
Manseau, all of Calgary. He is also survived by a sister Anne Auguson
of Norquay, Saskatchewan, and a brother Ed Lukey and wife Sylvia of Prince
George, B.C. Peter also had a special nephew Orest Lukey and wife Fran
of Acme, Alberta, along with other relatives and friends. He was predeceased
by his daughter Pat in September, 1975 and his wife Kasimira in December,

LUKINSKI - Roman Lukinski, beloved husband of Joanne Lukinski, of Calgary,
passed away peacefully at the Peter Lougheed Hospital on June 25, 1997
at the age of 82 years. Roman was born at Sioux Lookout, Ontario in 1915.
After the First World War he returned with his parents to Poland. When
the Second World War started he was drafted by the Russian army to Russia,
to prisoner camp. In 1942 Roman left Russia with the Polish Army and went
to North Rhodesia, Africa where he spent five years and eight months.
In August of 1945 he married Janina Sobolewski and came to Canada in December
of 1948, settling in Brandon, Manitoba. In 1989, after raising two children,
daughter Jean and son Bernie, he moved to Calgary to be close to his family.
Besides his loving wife, Roman is also survived by his daughter Jean,
son Bernie, and grandson Matthew. Relatives and friends are invited to
Prayers at Our Lady Queen of Peace Polish Catholic Church (2111 Uxbridge
Drive N.W.), today, June 28, 1997 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated

LUMGAIR - Alexander Lumgair passed away at the Agape Manor Hospice on
September 29, 1997 at the age of 85 years. Alex is survived by his wife
and best friend Esther; daughter Carol and son-in-law Elwin (Woody) Robinson;
brother John Lumgair; sisters-in-law, Emily McRoberts, Elinor Lumgair,
Violet (Warren) Dunsmoor; brothers-in-law, Joe Danielson, Ed Danielson;
and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by longtime friend Frosty
Cowie. Alex was predeceased by his sister Jean and brothers, Jimmy and

LUNDMARK - Nils Alfred Lundmark of Calgary passed away peacefully at
his residence on June 13, 1997 at the age of 94 years. Nils was born on
May 24, 1903 in Skelleftea, Sweden. He immigrated to Buchanan, Saskatchewan
in 1928. His lifetime trade as well as his hobby was carpentry which he
has enjoyed all his life. Nils was an outdoorsman and was an avid fisherman.
He will be greatly missed by his loving family. He is survived by his
son and two daughters, Martin and Kathy Lundmark of Calgary, Barbara Hilchie
of Calgary, Margo and Don Friesen of Canmore; ten grandchildren and nine
great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Helga on April 20,

LUNN - Millisa Elizabeth Lunn passed away at the Southwood Nursing Home
on December 16, 1997 at the age of 84 years. She will be sadly missed
by her daughters, Mary Lou (Norman) Scott of Calgary, and Jo Anne (Ray)
Perell of Fort Langley, B.C.; five grandchildren, Dale, Glen, James, Craig
and Sue; and two great-grandchildren. Millisa is also survived by her
sister Eve Stokes of Calgary. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas

LUPYPCIW - Wasyl Lupypciw of Calgary, passed away at the Foothills Auxiliary
Hospitaldue to ravages of Parkinson's disease on December 7, 1997 at the
age of 77 years, belovedhusband of Mrs. Mary Lupypciw, Calgary; dear father
of John (Jeanne) Lupypciw Phoenix,Arizona, U.S.A., Michael (Valerie) Lupypciw,
Calgary; and dearly beloved grandfather ofDana, Ashley and Caroline. He
is also survived by a brother Stefan Lupypciw, Calgary and bynephews and
nieces. He was predeceased by a brother Ivan Lupypciw in the Ukraine.
Wasylwas born in Nizhniv, Ukraine and came to Canada in 1947 to Shumacher,
Ontario, where hewas employed in the Gold Mines. In 1949 he came to Calgary
and resided in Calgary since.He was employed with the City of Calgary
for twenty-seven years, until his retirement. Hewas a member of the Assumption
of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church.Relatives and friends

LUTCHER - Judy (nee Etherington), passed away peacefully on Tuesday,
December 9, 1997 at the age of 47 years. Her courageous battle with cancer
was an inspiration to family and friends alike. Her sense of humour, enthusiasm
and verve for life touched the hearts of everyone to the end. Judy will
be sadly missed and leaves a very proud family who feel privileged to
have been able to share such a wonderful life together. Judy is survived
by her beloved husband Larry; children, Doug, Carolyn (Darrel), Kelly
(Kerry, Eric and Dylan). She also leaves to mourn her passing her mother
Evelyn; sister Pat; brothers, Wayne, Larry, and Keith; sisters-in-law,
Shawne, Sandy, Wanda; brother-in-law Rick; nephews, Bill, Ronnie and Chad;
nieces, Charlene, Shauna, Jennifer, Shelly, Gloria and Trisha; special

LYNCH - Elizabeth Grace Lynch, went to be with the Lord on October 19,
1997 after a short illness. Grace's incredible strength and love will
be sadly missed by daughter Clydine Grenier and son-in-law Al, and her
grandchildren, Rosemarie (Neil) Hansen, Neil, Shawn (Deanna) Hicks, Bradd
and Brenda Hicks, Scott and Jacques Grenier; great-grandchildren, Christopher,
Linden, Tyler and Tayler; and friend Wayne Hicks. Born in Halifax, Nova
Scotia, Grace was predeceased by her husband Clyde. One of her many talents
will always remain in her paintings she shared with friends and relatives.

on Friday, October 24 at 3:00 p.m., with Interment to be in Halifax (10/23/97).
LYNN-GOESON - Gordon Douglas (Lynn) Goeson, of Turner Valley, passed
away on September 6, 1997 at the age of 16 years. Gord is survived by
his loving parents, Jennie and Jim Goeson of Turner Valley; two brothers,
Darwyn and Randy; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Gord was predeceased by his grandparents and numerous aunts and uncles.
Gord was born in Whitehorse, Yukon on June 12, 1981. He attended school
at the Foothills Composite High School in Okotoks. A Memorial Service
will be held at the Oilfields Community Church, Turner Valley, on Saturday,
September 13, 1997 at 3:00 p.m. If desired, memorial tributes may be made

LYTLE - Shirley Marie (nee Carroll). Born May 22, 1931 at Wainwright,
Alberta. Died September 11, 1997 at North Vancouver, British Columbia.
Shirley is survived by her husband Clifford Lytle; her daughter Deborah
Lytle, son-in-law Pasquale Arienzale, and grandchildren, Richard and Petria
Arienzale; her son Alexander Lytle and daughter-in-law Sandra Ens; and
her sister Jacqueline Rollans. A Memorial Service will be held at a later
